North to South Education is about 4 new teachers, in 4 different education programs, in 4 different states, with 1 goal — learn how education is being shaped across the nation.

Eric, Garrett, Janessa, and Nate are four friends who will share their stories from the very beginning of the journeys outside of college. We aim to help others (and ourselves) understand the perspectives of new educators around the nation. Our posts might cover anything from our relationships with students to our frustrations with national policy, lesson plans to philosophical thoughts. At the root of them all will be our experience: stories from our first years in the classroom.

Every Friday, we will invite a guest author to write about different topics in education intended to help us and readers hear many perspectives this field known as education.
